A day after, there's still some recovery to be had from all the games that were played yesterday. It was definitely an interesting end to an interesting season. I didn't get to watch all of them, as I don't have that many pairs of eyes, but I tried to keep an eye on some of them and these were pretty much my reactions.

Photography
I was having a look online at some great photography, particularly one page regarding some of the most haunting abandoned places in the world, and I came across this guy's photography website. He does really good work! It actually inspires me to take my camera out more and actually use it. The damn thing is worth hundreds of dollars and I honestly can't remember the last time I used it. There is so much I could get out of it, just by heading outside and taking pictures. Granted, I don't think I have anything that would allow me to take long exposure shots to be honest, and if I do, I have no idea how to do it. If I start making it a habit though, I plan to start a photography blog/site to contain all the pictures.

Sick.....
It started yesterday, small cough. Today I find myself congested and still coughing. I had planned to write up a little something something on the world of NFL sports yesterday, but I was really busy yesterday so I'm going to write it now.

Desolation of Smaug Review
No, I'm not going to post spoilers. Okay, I might post a couple.
I was heavily disappointed with the movie. I felt that there were unnecessary sub-plots added that wreaked havoc on the main plot. I thought confrontations were too long, and I felt that more interesting parts of the book were left out. Read below for spoilers:

Greetings from Las Vegas!
Yeah so hi!
Let me just start off with this tidbit. I got a job a couple weeks ago, so I've been working a lot. The past couple of days, I've been here in Las Vegas for the 2013 APA National Singles Championships, for the 9-Ball Shootout.
I took NINTH in the NATION!
I lost my first match, but went on to roll over the next three or four people I played. Unfortunately, I went up to a skill level six after that, and the next match I played, I lost. I let the nerves get to me, but what can you do. For 9th, I am taking home 200 dollars, plus the 300 I received at registration. I also have various goodies, such as a championship jacket, pictures, a patch, a coin, a cue stick, and a cue case. I bought myself a couple of shirts, and have just been overall in a great mood about the whole experience.
Granted, I wound up losing my military ID somewhere on the strip. I'm going to call the various hotels and hope that someone turned it in, as I did the past couple days. Hopefully someone did.
Either way, the whole experience was great. I was really focused in my playing, I played my heart out, and for my first time being here for this, ninth out of 119 other people is not bad, AT ALL. :)
We leave tomorrow to make the drive back home, and then it'll be back to the old grind. I count myself very lucky to have been able to participate, I'm happy with the results, and maybe I'll come back next year. :)

Oh, hello!
Haven't posted anything here in a hot minute, so I guess I'll post a bunch of random stuff.

Sim City - First Impressions
I decided to go ahead and pick up Sim City for these reasons:
1. The servers were finally stable, new ones were being added.
2. Problems with traffic and the like were being fixed.
3. I'm optimistic (maybe overly so) that eventually, there will be some kind of offline single player. And if not? I'll just mod it like another user did. Either way, I WILL play offline single player.
So, here's the review. Enjoy!

The Sim City Fiasco
"Wow" is pretty much all I can say regarding Sim City.

I Won!
I competed in Washington APA 9-Ball Regionals yesterday, which I had won the qualifier for back in September. Regionals was the last stop before going to Las Vegas to compete in Nationals Singles Championships.

Emerald City Comic Con
So, I had just discovered on Wednesday that Emerald City Comic Con was happening this weekend, and unfortunately, but the time we got tickets, we could only get them for Friday. Saturday, Sunday, and the three day passes were all sold out.
However, it was worth it, even if going for just one day. Saw lots of great cosplay, got a couple of photos with celebs, a couple autographs, and saw lots of cool stuff. Pictures below.

Goodies
The new layout is here, although I will say it's probably temporary. I totally put off working on it the other day, like I said I would, so I kinda threw something together today.

Weekend Update
Happy Weekend,
Anywho, I've been meaning to update the layout of this blog, as well as add more goodies, but I just get so caught up in other things that I forget to do so. So you know what? I'm gonna do it today.

Lifestyles
I'm in the midst of "changing my lifestyle," which is a fancy way of saying that I'm dieting and exercising.

Kinda, Sorta, Maybe Bored...
It's Saturday, and after playing some Halo 4, building on The Sims 3, I'm officially out of ideas for what to do with my day, and it's only almost 1pm.

Jeez - One Down, Several to Go.
So, the big thing today has been just errands, like getting taxes done, paying bills, that way the weekend can be spent relaxing.
Spanking Brand New & Under Construction
Welcome to this new, shiny, and spiffy blog, which will undoubtedly become clustered, dusty, and downright vulgar in the weeks and months (maybe even years) to come.
I'm your hostess and/or webmistress, Mrs. Ironman. The nickname comes from being married to a Stark. The only catch is that his first name is not Tony, and he refuses for any of our future sons to have that name slapped on them.
Over the next few days if I'm feeling froggy enough, I'll get the blog up and running a bit more, give it a fresh new layout/design, but I'll still blog while I'm in the process most likely. And just what will I blog about? Randomness, of course. Everything from my playing pool, to reviewing video games, to talking about the shows I watch, new books I read, new movies I see, rants on the government, celebrities, etc. etc. ad nauseum.
Keep an eye out. I'm sure I'll update eventually.
